Man, oh man!

Explain's my life right now. My family has been traveling a bit since we got a camper. We all love it, (though some think it's not REAL camping) I don't mind either way. So it was fun, we had our annual church camp out, and A LOT of people got to come. I FINALLY got to learn to drive a stick shift, which being a car guy, has been something I've wanted to do since I got my license.
After that our family went to Fredricksburg, some call it the "German capital of Texas". Call it what you wish, it was loads of fun walking around and seeing all kinds of places, and to enjoy God's creation.

Well I'm all over the place, school, work, and everything in between. I had my uncle's neighbor offer me some work painting. Which is great pay, but we work full time. So not ideal for the teen still in school. So I'll probably keep that to a minimum. I had to give my truck back because it was having HUGE problems, and I just couldn't afford it anymore. I'm currently saving for a new car/truck.
Our band... ah yes, we've all been super busy, and our drummer can hardly practice twice a week anymore, but nonetheless we are still 'technically' a band, and we hope to get some of our music out in the future. I've been trying newer songs, and different styles, also trying to get my voice where I want it, which isn't easy at all... So we're hoping to get somewhere in the near future.

Peter has been good, he's had a couple more surgeries since my last update. Please continue to pray for his full recovery.
I really enjoy thanksgiving, being around family, and talking about what the Lord has blessed us with. There are million's of things I'm EXTREMELY thankful for, but I won't try to mention them all right now. My top 3 would probably be...

1: The Lord Jesus Christ.

2: My Best Friend's and Family.

3: My gifts, and everything God has given me.

I hope you all have a wonderful thanksgiving.

A big birthday shout out for Hannah, Happy Birthday!

Golden Year for Grandparents

Good day one and all! Yes my grandparents had their 50th anniversary just last week. So I'm going to tell you about it!

So our Aunt (the one from California) came down to Texas for a surprise to our dear grandparents. It was great, she got to our house we were planning everything out, who would do what and everything.
She stayed in the car and made the daily "I'm heading home from work" call to our grandmother, and we took our stations. I went to the kitchen to record the whole thing on camera, and Colton was to go get our Aunt. He made the excuse to go outside, and he came in with our Aunt, they were pretty speechless. It was really fun, we stayed and hung out for awhile and made weekend plans.

So Friday night, we went to this place called The Melting Pot, you may have heard of it (maybe not who knows) it's a place where they serve fondue, cheese/chocolate. We ate all kinds of things in different cheeses and chocolates which was a fun experience.

The Melting Pot

Then the fun continues on Saturday evening. We go to the fanciest restaurant I've ever been to called Ferre (pictured below). It's Italian based dining, so that was pretty good (Because I love Italian food!). While we were there everyone was getting dessert and I wanted to get some coffee. So when I ordered something that was on the menu, the waitress asked if I had some ID, (I did but not the right kind)it obviously had alcohol in it. So go on say it, "you wanted to get an adult beverage?" well I wasn't intending too but... Just kidding :)

Ferre Restaurant.

Then for labor day we hung out, played board games, talked, and ate some food, all good fun. I had a great weekend and so did my family. Thanks for reading, hope you people aren't too bored with what I have to say.

Password: Rhino

Hey all hope you guyses are having a good rest of the summer. I worked all through summer getting caught up. Anyway Me and some awesome friends of mine went to see a band called Philmont. These guys rock!
So I had the pleasure of talking to these guys on the phone (as stated in a previous post), and they actually remembered me! It was great we talked to them for hours and got pictures, all that good stuff. They even had Ice cream after the show which was totally unexpected! So that was probably one of the best nights of my life.

Here is proof I met these guys. :)
Scott

Josiah

Josh

Justin

Thanks to Hannah for taking the pictures.

I got a free poster if I mentioned the word Rhino so that's what the title is.
I'll say it again it was an awesome night and glad everyone was able to make it.
Thank for reading.

Once A Month

Hey all! Seems like I'm only posting "once a month" now, sorry but I get busy with school and what not, nothing really "crazy" happening lately.
Our band is starting to get lazy so to speak, we STILL haven't opened our blog, and we're still adding and subtracting bits and pieces of songs. We lack equipment and funds to record our songs and create the cd's. I'm saving up for a car/truck. Other friends saving for other things, so we aren't able to put a lot of money into things so far.
None the less I assure you after the whole "getting a vehicle" is over I'll invest in some more equipment and hopefully have some of our music up for those who care to listen.
So I'm a car guy, and I have been dying to do some sort of mod, so I modded my dad's car. Ha ha! it's funny because it's not my car but still. Here are before and after pics.

Before: Side View

After: Side View

Before: Front View

After: Front View

So it looks great, sounds pretty nice, and adds about 5 more horses to dad's car. :)
I'm waiting to get my truck within the next week or so I HOPE, but we'll see.

So that's about it for me, I hope you all have a great weekend, and thanks for reading.

Happy Fourth!

hope it was a good one for you guyses. I had LOADS of fun. We saw the parade in the morning, we saw some friends of ours in that parade. Then last night we had a HUGE like everyone was there! We mainly just hung out until people arrived. Me and my friend where setting up stuff and testing his go cart. Then once some people arrived we had food! Lot's and lots of it! Then we sang some hymns and prayed before going about our evening.
We played a bit of catch with our football, then it really started... Volleyball! Yes it seems to be the church sport currently. That was great it was boys vs. girls, then teens vs. adults (we had won in the past but not this time unfortunately). Then the neighbors to the right of us started shooting fireworks before it was even dark. So me and my friend got our potato cannons out and started firing... at them! (Just kidding) though we were tempted. :) We attached glow-sticks to the potato's so we could see them through the sky.
After we were out of "Ammo" we tried to ride the go-cart but the throttle wire had broken off so that never happened. Then we all went home to our late night/party neighbors to try and sleep.
There you have it my fourth/4th of July weekend. I don't have any pictures but I'm sure there will be plenty other posts about that awesome night!

Thanks for reading.

Summer killed may flowers!

Well it's finally here summer, hot Texas weather... horrible I'm a winter person so this isn't totally amazing for me. I've been a procrastinator recently so I'm relly behind in some area's.
So I needed to tell you all I got my long awaited driver's license! Yay! So I was a bit mad at first cause I thought we had to make an appointment before we went, and that wouldn't work that day. I later found out I didn't need too thank the Lord! So we got all the paper work, eye test, etc. Then we took the test I was nervous at first but once we got going I got over it.
So once we returned there was an ambulance which is bad news if I'm trying to get my license. :) Some lady apparently fell and broke her hip or something and they had to take her to the ER crazy stuff that day.
That night we went to this concert thing and had our first Friday evangelism which was good a lot of people got to hear the gospel. We ate at Fuzzy's taco shop/emporium/place. Which is really good actually (recommend the craw fish tacos).
and I drove Emily and myself home. :)
Our cousin just graduated like Tuesday night. We drove to TCU to see him actually graduate. We saw several people we knew there and talked a little to our friends. Me and my uncle yelled REALLY loud for him and for the last kid (because he was the last out of like 600 kids!). Then we ate at Mcd's for late night supper.

It was a fairly good week I must say. Now it's time to get back to trying to write lyrics and music for the band. See you later.

Memorial Day!

Hope you had a good one. We did, I'll get back to that.
Well last week I believe it was, a lot of my friend's went out of town (some out of state). So It's been kinda boring. Well I did get to have my friend over for the weekend and we came up with a new song just jamming out. I also got this!

A bit pricey but I can plug 2 mics into it as well as some electric guitars if I wanted. So that was fun, guitar center always is.
We also went over to our friend's The Runkles' house Saturday night to hang out. We watched chicken little (old school right?) and played around with their dog. Then Sunday we went to go eat with some more friends, and then Monday (A.K.A. Memorial Day) we helped our friend's the Finley's build a fence. So that pretty much sums my week/weeks. Oh and I'm nearly finished with my potato gun I've been working on. Pray for me this up coming weekend, I'm supposed to go to the DPS and try out for my license (Bo-Ya!). Thanks for reading hope all you traveling peeps have a good time.

"Up a 30 foot corridor 3 men climb..."

I want all my readers to comment telling me what they think (or absolutely know)what the title means. :)
So I meant to post earlier in the week but I got busy, I apologize.
So my best friend since forever came down for the weekend (A.K.A. Joel leader in our band). we got together and have at least 2 completed songs, yes, lyrics and all so that's encouraging. So hopefully we'll have that blog up soon.
Oh I hope you guys had a good Mother's day and to all my second families Happy late Mother's day! So I got this book called "Home Recording Studio for dummies" it's a really good book and hopefully it will help with our recording process.
That's about it a short update, have a good weekend! I'm going to go watch Flashpoint now. :)

Patrick My Man...

How are you all doing? Well I hope the answer is "good". Not a whole lot has happened until recently. Friday night was Awesome! I got to see one of my absolute favorite bands perform live! NEEDTOBREATHE they put on one of THE best shows I've been too. I didn't get to meet them because it was a Six Flags festival thing. It was still totally rad! I wasn't able to bring a super great camera (ipod camera) but I got a few photos. Here are my favorite:

I got Joe smiling. :)

My natural "lense flare" of the night.

I also had some of The David Crowder Band but they were too blurry. They were great too. Oh after everything was over we saw Patrick (Need's crew member) over by the merch booth. So Sara and Sara thought it would be funny if I went over and asked him for a shirt... so I did. :) I walk up, pat him on the back and say "Patrick my man got any shirts for me?" he said "what kind of shirts do you need?" I said need shirts (confused) "NEED... Shirts?" then I said Needtobreathe shirts and he said "all I got are girls sizes left" I was bummed but said "Congratulations on the sales" and then told him thanks and walked off with a huge grin. It was fun and I hope he doesn't think I'm weird or something.
That night Sara got lost trying to meet mom and we drove a couple miles past the meeting spot. It was a fun night. I din't get home till about 1 or 2 that night.
I also thank Sara's friend Venus I believe for the ticket she was kind to give me for free. So there was my Good Friday fun.

Easter went good. We had some friends from out of town come, and we went to our great grandmother's house for Easter lunch/dinner. Today was my next to youngest brother's (Colton) birthday. He's having some friends over and such, a great time.

Tomorrow is my last test and last class of catechism so that will be a release of stress. It was fun I think we're throwing a party or something.

Thanks for reading guys. Have a good evening or day or whatever it is when you read this.

I'm horribly late

April Fools day, Happy birthday! Yeah It's been to long into the year.
So I didn't really have an April Fools day prank, apart from waking all my siblings by popping a balloon in the hall. It was also my moms b-day that day. We went out to eat with our grandparents and that was nice.

On Friday the 8th we went over to our awesome friend's the Collinsss house for a birthday party. Their youngest child/brother Jim had his 12th birthday. We had some friends from out of town come and we had a really fun time.

So our band stuff has slowed down a bit, we're trying to figure out what we're going to do in the summer. Things like who's house, for how long, what are we going to do, etc. We're trying to get some equipment for recording, and some software, and some know-how, on the whole thing we're still short some lyrics and some instruments. We also just lost our 2nd bass player and our keyboardist, so we have one bass player now and we'll come up with some piano stuff. Oh and incase y'all haven't heard me and my friend Joel might be singers for the band, which I'm terrified cause I have no idea how we'll sound let alone me. We're still looking for a singer, but if we can't find one before summer we'll be doing it.

So speaking of losing band members, Remedy Drive one of the best bands ever has lost three members, only the lead singer Dave has stayed. They have a new guitarist, bassist, and drummer I believe, and are still a band just not the same guys... It's very disappointing but they had good reason to leave, to be with family. I will continue to be a HUGE fan of a still awesome band.

There's my post into the middle of April, guess I was still getting used to it. :)
Thanks for reading.

P.S. My family is considering adopting, so please pray for God's wisdom in this process.

The heat, feel it?

Yes for you NEEDTOBREATHE fans out there that IS a reference. :)

So it's nearing the end of spring break I enjoyed it. I got to go to a friend's house for almost the whole week, our drummer's house. That was fun we got alot of practice in, much needed practice I must say. Oh and our bassist came over and we played all together. Everything is coming together slowly.
I went to speedzone (go-cart track)Wednesday night so I feel like a pagan for missing church over that. All in all it was a fun time.
So the blog needs one more thing and we'll let you guys see it. Thanks for being patient.
We're practicing a ton of covers together and want to play at a church after the message. Just kind of play covers and get used to playing on-stage. That's more in the summer though.
That's pretty much it, besides our church progress. We changed it completely! Check out my friend Hannah's blog for pictures of it here

Thanks for reading, I'll try to post more often.

I want to ride the "Unwinding Cable Car"

Hey poeple of the blogging nation!

I finally have the video made for my cover of Anberlin's "Unwinding Cable Car". I meant to put it up earlier but I couldn't find somewhere that allowed really long videos like this one. :)
Until now, so without further or do... Here it is.

I hoped you enjoy it and sorry for the wait (if anyone was waiting).

Well I have some news for you guys. I had a crazy, awesome, and totally WILD surprise birthday on Saturday! My friend David got to come down, who knew about it the whole time.
My Super amazing friends The Collins' hosted my party at their house. It was thought up by 2 of my best friends, Hannah and Joel. You guys are the best! I was totally surprised and didn't expect a thing! We had all kinds of people come it was great. I just wish ALL my friends could have been there, I know they would have wanted to be there. It was still awesome no less
So we played Soccer, Underground church, and dodgeball until 9 or 10. I had a super fun time.
I thank all who came and made it happen it was the best party I've ever had!

So that's how my awesome weekend was. I'll see you guys later.

Happy Valentine's day!

Happy Valentine's day!
What is up everyone? If you said the sky... your right. :)

We're going to a new church now... Don't worry we didn't leave Rock Creek. Our building got flooded by a busted water pipe. We wen't to help last weekend,
it was drenched! We had to take up pews and nearly all the carpet in the classroom wing. It was pretty hectic, but we're hoping the insurance people will help us out.
Please pray for us in this situation.

Well I don't really have any other news. I'm hopefully going to get my truck to a mechanic, you know that really old thing. :) So we might do that.

Well I have to now, I'm painting stuff tomorrow.

-Robbie

P.S. Y'all need to comment more, I don't know if anyone is even reading this!

Snow Day!

Good day all! Well today I had an amazing day. I'm officially 16 now (finally!) as I'm writing this.

This isn't the first time it's snowed on my birthday. I remember when I was little me and Emily went to go out and play in it when we lived at our old house in Ennis.
Good times indeed.

So in case your wondering I'll tell you what I did today.

- I woke up and had Waffles (6/12 that I got from the freezer!)... Sorry bad joke.

- Got some phone calls from friends and family.

- Then played guitar awhile.

- I got "Despicable Me" this morning and being trapped in we all watched it.

- Then me and my sibling went out to the forest behind our house, and I took some snow day pictures.

This is the park that if you've been to our house you've prally seen it.

This is a pond type thing behind our house. Almost all the water is frozen!

And this is a mysterious rock formation that I found covered in snow.

So it was fun. If you asked me if I had a good day I would say "yes, it was".
It stinks I didn't get to spend it at church tonight that would have made it 10 times better!

Oh I learned "Blood" By The Middle East on guitar. Totally awesome band, you should check them out if you get the chance.
Also keep a look out for a cover video I want to make of "Unwinding Cable Car" by Anberlin. I learned the guitar parts and I'm going to try to play along to it and record the whole thing. So if your intrested check it out, when I upload it. :)

Other news... Peter Helms was at church on Sunday (incase you haven't heard). It was really cool to see him there. It was exciting. Me and my friend Nathan and Joel went to talk to him after Sunday School. He looked really good. He was wearing his new basketball shoes that he got from Nathan Brantley. I also heard that Mrs. Helms said Pete was really responsive during the service as if he wanted to sing with us during worship. Really encouraging to see him. Andrew has been a good brother to him caring for him in place of his parents so they can rest. Continue to pray for pete and his family.

Well thats my update, atleast till my next post.

I want to thank anyone who told me Happy Birthday to me one way or another, call text, shoutout, etc. See y'all on the road when I get my license (Can't wait!!!).
See ya. :)

Super late New Year post

Happy 2011!
Kill me go ahead, do it.

Sorry again for posting what, three weeks late? Anywho alot of crazy stuff has been happening. As you may know My Dad won the chili cook off at our church which was really cool. So when we got home from that we stayed up till the new year, I went outside to comfort Bo because our crazy neighbors were shooting fireworks like a couple yards away from our house. So that was fun.

So im going to let you in on something you probably already know... no secret anymore *cough David cough*. Just kidding, we're waiting on a piano/keyboardist, and two possible bassists. The guys who are our possible bass players have never picked up a bass EVER so me and Joel might help them out. The guy who is our possible keyboard/piano, has had a few years lessons, etc.
I ALSO figured out how to make our album art look professional using Photoshop. It's still in progress but from what I can tell it looks pretty good.
So our blog is still getting worked on, we're trying to get all the design and widgets and stuff on there. Thanks for being patient.

So I had planned to go to this Philmont concert in like December. I had heard it was only for a lock-in therefore I couldn't go. Well My friend Hannah and Sara were able to get in and said they could get me in. Well Sara sent me an email the day before and I didn't think to check my email the day of the concert later that night, so I wasn't able to go 'cause it was a short notice for dad and he didn't really feel like driving up there. I was bummed of course until about 30 minutes before the show.
Josh (from Philmont) gave me a phone call!! I was soo excited I didn't know what to say. I got to talk to Josh, Justin, and Josiah and while talking to Josiah he asked what song I would've wanted to hear. I told him "The Difference" and he said "your wish is my command, first on the setlist" Totally crazy! So that made up for my not going to the show. I hope to catch their next one though.

Thanks for reading, if I get any threats I'll understand :)
