The Holidays

So I can't believe the year is almost over. It's been a great one alot has happened.
I know it's been awhile but y'all are used to it (I try not to make it a habit).

So I'm not sure where to start... if you don't know already our church had a christmas program and lot's of people performed, including me and my friend Nathan. He's been taking lessons and I suggested we perform. So we learned enough songs for a "medley" if you want to call it that. We were really nervous which showed in our playing. We had to start 2 of 5 of our songs over again. But all in all it was fun and we'll do it again... in a million years! Not really maybe another time.

Our band stuff has kind of slowed down because of the stuff going on. My dad recently bought photoshop elements (basic version) and the video editing software by the same people, so were hoping to use that to give a "Professional" look to our album art. We have that I need to show you guys a concept drawing to give an idea. But who knows when that will happen.
I have actually come up with some lyrics if I haven't already stated. For a song I wrote for our EP. All I can say is its a work in progress remember, I don't write music often... at all really. So it's still new to me.
A bass player is becoming more a concern for us right now as well as a lead singer, were hoping I wont have to on the account of my terrible voice. So maybe Joel will do it, who knows maybe we'll find someone. anywho.

Wow I really need to fix our band blog. I get to that soon I hope.

Okay on to how my christmas went. On christmas eve we went to our grandparents house to open some presents from them, and dad read Luke to us. After we ate and all, our aunt and uncle called from California to say merry christmas. They're always really funny. So we got to hear my aunt's reaction to a gift from my uncle which was really hilarious, and also the same with my uncle. It's like they were there. We all miss them and it was great to talk to them from phone.
So from there we went to our church christmas eve service, which was good as always.
We didn't get to do our tradition of riding around looking at christmas lights drinking hot chocolate or coffe. Because they closed to early. But we went home and watched the nativity story and went to bed. Next morning (this sounds like a story, sorry). Okay we got up ate, and opened presents. We went to our other uncle's house to celebrate with my mom's side of the family. So get this...
We got there and my grandad needed to go back to his house to get some chips. So mom suggested I drive (jokingly) So I did. Grandad was nervous and gave me tips for the road. It was fun he has a nice ford fusion. Which is now wrecked...
just kidding. Making sure y'all are awake from my boring story thing.

So it was a good time. But remember the main reason we celebrate, because of the birth of Jesus Christ. Note CHRISTmas.

So hope you guys have a good rest of the year.

B-ball anyone?

I got lots of basketball Last night. Well some other things have happened but they weren't "worthy" so to speak for a blog post.

Enough rambling, we (me and my friend Nathan) went to like 3 basketball games in one night crazy right? So we picked him up at his house and headed to meet my other friend Joel's (not the one in the band, incase your confused) Mom and sister at a gas station. So first off we weren't sure where the school where the game was to be held was at. So Mrs. Collins called home for some backup (A.K.A. Mr. Collins) . :) So after pulling into some people's house we turned around and made a left and a right and we were there.
So it was my first basketball game to see live, so it was pretty cool. Joel did good although I think having me and Nate there was making him a bit nervous. But they killed, it was 24 to 13 I think so it was all good.
Then Mr. Collins took us to Braums to meet Nathan's mom. So after playing car chase with Mrs. Collins, listening to some great guitar music and riding in the smallest place to fit a human body (obese one). We made it to Braums.
While we were eating, there were these guys I guess taking a break and were like non-stop texting and I think one fell asleep, pretty funny. So Mrs. Hughes got us and we went to see Nathan Brantley play. We had to watch the girls basket ball game first which me and Nathan found pretty boring, back and forth, so boring. (No offence taken for those who do so). The Warriors won that game. Then finally The guys got to play, they all played good, and this kid even got his head busted up and was bleeding all over the floor. Pretty crazy stuff, so after that they took me home and there's that.
Oh another thing I forgot, I got a Boss ds-1 distortion pedal (yes exactly what it says on the box thing). It has a cool sound which I'm pretty happy with. Got some new cords/chords whatever. Also I'm working on something for a blog header and we'll be getting that up and running soon hopefully, and I'll post about that later.
So I'm finally working on some lyrics for another song it's not going to be used in our first album but maybe later ones. Oh and if you guys didn't already know we have 6 songs for our EP so hope to have those by summer 2011 if we're lucky and we'll probablly give those out free to whoever wants them. Maybe get them on iTunes or something. So i'll keep ya'll up to date on that aswell.

I almsot forgot our family went to the Musem last Friday, it was fun we saw a documentary on the nile, and I made a really cool picture with a giant lite brite thing. Which might be that new blog header I was talking about, but I want to edit it a bit (say that 5 times fast) before I post it.

One more thing I heard today that Peter is moving his head and toes a little bit now, it's really encouraging especially to the Helms. Please continue to pray for him and his family. Also our friend's the Shamburgers have a family member in the hospital, Mr. Shamburger I believe had a stroke so please pray for his health too.

Thanks for reading the longest post of the December month ever.

Jam Sessions, Birthdays and Thanksgiving.

Hello all hope your doing good today I am, though a little covered in paint.

I just got done helping my uncle paint a fence, so other than that I'm good.
Okay so here's wats up.
I went to our drummer/friend's house to play around and "record" some songs. We used some mics he had and some free software and messed around on our instrumets

It was crazy and fun. I also got to see his new dog who is very jumpy (and annoying).
SO we had a good time. So our name you probably are like "Where has he been and what about his name and how come he didn't post earlier" Well it's because I never got around to it and had to get some "okay's" form some people (Joel) and so whithout further or do our new band name is Soundscape.
Joel came up with it while on e-mail and I likes the way it sounded. It also has a meaning get this it means: soundscape is a sound or combination of sounds that forms or arises from an immersive environment. Got it from wiki (no plagerism intended). So we're setting up the site which is a blogger site but it's free right?

Okay so for Thanksgiving we're supposed to go to our great grandmothers house and have fun and fellowship, and EAT. So that's what I'm doing for Thanksgiving.
I'm very thankful for all of God's blessings to me and for everything good in my life. That pretty much sums it up there's a TON of stuff I'm thankful for, but that would take to long.

ALSO today is my really good friend Hannah's birthday, so here's my shoutout: Happy Birthday Hannah! Who is turning 16. Lucky :)

Okay bye everyone have a good Thanksgiving.

Riding on Water

Okay I'll tell you about the title later.

It's been awhile (Again) it feels like I don't ever get on anymore, but I do still blog.
So we (Being mom and me)went to our really good friends house. Well I did my mom went with their mom to their Ranch and made all kinds of jelly, while I hung out at Joel's.
So I saw one of my best friends, Joel and we had a great time. I got there and did some school that needed to be done and then there dad drove up and I hung out with his brother Caleb. Then at like 7:00 Joel calls and his dad goes to pick him up.
After supper we watched Fantastic Mr. Fox which is a pretty ammusing movie. (Petey you rock).
The next day we played ALOT of guitar it was awsome, we just finished up the last song for our album/EP. We just need some more lyrics and David needs to get some drum beats for them. We want to record and everything in the summer, and it's looking even closer now.
Sunday we left (I wish I was at church) we had our goodbye's and I got to drive. Yeah it's like a 2 hour drive but I only drove like an hour because... well now about that title...

We were heading towards Waco and it randomly began to rain.
I slowed down to about 50 (Which I think is what I'm supposed to do). I kept thinking I'm going to hydroplane. Sure enough I lost complete control and spun out. It was really scary but at the same time I was at peace and knew it was going to be okay. Everything was in like slow motion and we did like a 270 or something and ended up in the middle of the ditch. Luckily we didn't go into oncoming traffic, or flip.
No damage was done and we were okay but I was shook up and didn't want to drive so mom did. We turned on our 4 wheel drive and got out. Then after about a mile it started to hail extremely hard. We suspected about nickel size hail and it was loud. We thought the winshield was going to cave in.
Eventually we got out of the mess and We saw this.

We were so thankful to God for bringing us through that hectic situation.
This Rainbow reminded us of His promise. Genesis 9:12-15

After that we got stuck in like what seemed like never-moving-traffic, and we listened to Cool Hand Luke and Explosions in the sky while we were waiting for the time to go by. :)

Thanks for reading, and don't die ever okay y'all.

Late.

Yeah I know it's been like the rest of forever since my last post but I've been REALLY busy and forgetting to get on this thing.
I'm still glad that I have SOME people that read my blog. Ha ha!

Well the peeps who read this probably already know that I went to a Remedy Drive concert. But for those who don't... I went to a REMEDY DRIVE CONCERT!!! It was awsome and I'm like... best friends with the lead guitarist Paul. He showed me and my friend David (I call him Dave sometimes), his foot pedals, he had tons he named a few like the distortion, reverb, tuner, etc. After that he gave some band advice and stuff on recording. Pretty sweet right? So that was awsome.

We're thinking of changing our band name to something else, but I'll keep what it is a secret for now. (suspense). So... I just finished writing 2 more songs for it, and Dave's working on the drums and I'm going to contact Joel for some details, he has a few songs like totally ready and we'll pick from his songs. We're Super close to having ALL our songs done.I made the blog, but that's also secret until our band has what we think is our final name. I'll keep you guys up to date.

So Peter is doing really well he went home a few days ago I think, and we might go see him this weekend which is exciting because it's been 3 or so weeks since the last time we saw him I think.

I also got an iPod touch, yeah the new one! It totally rocks, but It's not like taking me over or anything... :)

So thanks for reading if you did. See ya later.

Time and effort

Having a good day? I hope soo.
I was meaning to post this news earlier but I've been busy.

So last Sunday I talked with a man from our church about working for him.
So the next day (Monday) I started my first job. Surveying. I never expected this to be my first job, or at this age. But it is what it is. It's pretty nice, I learn alot of skills, and he's a very Godly man. So it's encouraging in the workplace.
It feels really weird waking up early... getting my lunch for the day, and going to work and comming home tired and such. And the fact that I'm driving (perment anyway). Feels like time is flying by...

Well it's a good job and it's not TOTALLY overwhelming. I'm only working 2-3 times a week, and he let's me drive the truck every once in a while, which is pretty cool.
I'm making pretty good pay to go with it. And might get a raise after 30 or so days.

So enough about me...

I talked with my friend Joel who is the main dude in our band, and he gave me some music writing tips, which seem pretty good. He also has like 2 songs that we might use for the EP. We're practicing every time we get the chance, and I'm really excited about how it's turning out.

Speaking of bands... I have a friend who is in a band! Pretty crazy so with all these bands it's pretty awsome. I'm happey for them and hope they can get really far.
So we'll see where we get, hopefully somewhere. And maybe once our band puts out an album we can get some more fans. But the ones we have right now are awsome.

That's it for me. Thanks for reading what's up.

Visits

Howdy, it's been awhile but nothing has been happening a whole lot.

So we went to visit some really good friends of our family. they had a couple people over to swim in their pool (which they recently finished setting up)and it was really fun. We ate food and looked through maps and found some funny city and street names. I now want to go visit Converse city in Texas Ha ha!
After all that we played a game I've never played before called "pussy in the corner" or atleast something like that. You get enough chairs for everyone but one person and they have to say "pussy wants a corner and everyone leaves their chair and runs to a different one and the person left out has to say it next.
Anywho I had a real good time.

We also went to the Fort Worth Museum. We saw the planetarium and watched Under the Deep Sea in the Imax/Omni theater which was totally rad! We didn't get to see alot of the exibits because we didn't have enough time to go to them all before the movies started. But was still a good time.

And our Aunt Valerie who lives in California is visiting with us Sunday. So it's a time of visiting.

Also Joel got a story published in a magazine called Teen ink
it's a magazine written by teens. So we're psyched about that.

In other news.
Peter's doing good he's still in the hospital andstill has the Trach in him but after they get him off that he'll be able to go home so keep praying it's really helped him and his family and they're being great examples of christ.

One more thing. Yesterday our friend's mom had a stroke and is in the hospital right now. She's doing pretty good. We visited them this morning. She said she was going to be released today but she got sick from some testing. So please be in prayer for her.

Thanks for reading. See ya.

That Update I Mentioned.

Hello all, heres the update.

As you know we've been working on alot of stuff for our band. So I would like to post a guitar part in our second song.

"These Hard Times" that's what I came up with so far but it might change. I wrote this song around the time Peter was in his accident so I would like to dedicate this song to him. (The tanbee is because the converter program I found is just a trial).

Even though there's no lyrics. When we have lyrics they should be based on that title. I've been trying to come up with some lyrics for this song but I've never done it before so bare with me. Our drummer David should be comming down this weekend or so to do some practice and hang out. I'll try to get all the parts in and make a slide show or something if I can.

One more thing... our band is trying to get some recording equipment (as I stated in the last post... I think), so we will hopefully have our equipment, a meeting place and time, atleast 5 songs, our songs learned, and our album art work finished by next summer. But I'll try to give you video's here and there of what we have.

Thanks for reading (and watching). Please comment and tell me what Y'all think so far.

Update before another update.

Okay so I'll have another update hopefullt this weekend, so here's a short one for now.

Peter is doing much better. He will be going home Monday I believe. Me and my mom will be going to his house to help with taking care of him. I'll also be staying overnight with him to help turn him over every hour. So pray that he would progress through that.
He's "technically" out of a coma but is not totally awake yet... it's like this.
on a 0 to 15 scale most people are at 15. 8 and lower is in a coma and 0 is completey comatose. so Pete is somewhere around 9 I would guess. He's also breathing much stronger now, and will hopefully be breathing on his own by Monday.
Praise God that he made it through all of this, and that he'll get to go home.
Please continue to be in prayer for Pete he's a trooper.

We've (our band) have had alot of disscusion, and we're trying to get recording equipment and stuff ready for when we get our final songs "perfected" and ready to roll. We still need about 1 or 2 songs before we're ready, and some lyrics for ALL of our songs, since no one sings we haven't been focusing to much on that.
So we plan to have 5 songs recorded with included lyrics and an EP with actual album art with it, (which we have a basic Idea for) by next summer.

My Dad has been going back to work now and is expected to go to the docter and have a check up next week.

So that's my "Update before an update" for Y'all, until another time see ya.

Band news and other stuff.

Okay so it's been years since my last post but not much has happend.

So our band had a 3 way call i called David Joel called me and we just happend to all be on the phone with each other. So David found this cool software called MixCraft5 it's only a trail but I'm looking into changing that.
So we have the drums and such for our first song all we need is a name for the song and some lyrics (incase we get a lead singer). Our second song is doing good too we got drums and guitar for that, I'll send it to Joel our lead guitarist and band leader, and hopefully he'll come up with something else for that.
We're working on another song and don't have hardly anything for that.
I'll try and get some Audio/video or something up for Y'all.

In ither noose I will hopefully be going to a Tenth Avenue North concert in September 24 it should be. I can't wait it will be my first concert this year if I can go.

My friend went to go see Switchfoot and Green River Ordinance (GRO) and said they were awsome! I'm quite jealous right now.
I'm starting school full force next week.

Happy trails and thanks for reading.

Friday The 13th B-day.

Good day bloggers and readers.

As you know we had our air conditioner go out, and we were "chilling" at our grandparents house. Brad (air conditioner dude) came by Saturday and totatlly redid our system, and by that night it was cool enough to sleep in.

I was at a friend's house for his birthday. Our drummer's infact.
We went to the parks mall and went Ice Skating! I'd never EVER done it before so it was a WHOLE new experience for me.
It wasn't too bad balance-wise because I used to skate, and did some skiing. So it was kinda like that. My ankles were turned to the inside the whole time and I got these crazy looking blisters. But by the time we were done I was as fast as my friend and could do a little "jumping" (more like hopping).

After taht we went around the mall, I bought an Anberlin cd and have been listening to that latley.
I also had forgotten I had to clean the church. I got it done though around 4-ish.

We went to the Hughes to hang out that night and my dad hurt his ankle playing basketball.
All these injuries... not fun. So my dad has just been hanging out at home.
He went to the doctor today to check on it and it is fractured in 2 places. And if he is too rough on it, it might break. So please pray for healing.

I haven't heard anything on Pete yet but please continue to pray, we all miss him and his parents especially.

Thanks for reading.

The Good, The Bad.

Well it's been forever now since my last post. Our air conditioner totally died on us and our house is EXTREMELY hot! The other day we went inside and upstairs it was 99 degrees!
We're currently staying at our grandparents house. And get this! the air conditioner dude went to the same church my parents went to when they were younger, and he knows my grandparents neighbor. "Small world" he said. His name is Brad... (I don't know his last name) but it's cool. he'll come over Saturday to work on our system. We're getting it totally re-done, it should make it last alot longer this time we hope.

Our band's drummer came over Friday, and we worked on our next song. it took alot of recording because none of us have any special equipment or anything to record with. So we still need some of that, which I'm still trying to figure out if i can get a mic or something. But our song is coming along pretty well I'd say.We just need some extra stuff done to it and it should be ready.

We're (our band) is also thinking about making a blog or something to post our videos, audio, etc. and I'll let Y'all know when we do.

Also please be praying for our drummer's, sister's boyfriend. He's in the army and is in the hospital after having his spleen I believe ruptured from some training.

Continue praying for Pete he got a buzz cut now after taking the tube out of his head. He's doing VERY well, he still has a tracheostomy tube in his neck and might still have some pneumonia in his lungs. So please keep praying God will work his ultimate will and glory through this and we're seeing it done in Peter's life.
His birthday was yesterday as well and his parents say that having Peter's life spared and all of these prayers are a blessing.
His brother is also giving him some physical therapy and says he's much more flexible than a few days ago.

I'm doing good in driving, my mom freaks from time to time but she says I'm doing better. I'm getting more worried hearing about this accident and others. It's a good wake up call for me and any other new drivers.

My next to youngest brother's hamster died from a heat stroke (we think) from being in our "hot house" we buried him in our garden Tuesday.

So that's about it for now, I don't have any pictures or anything because I'm using my grandparents computer.

Thanks for baring with me. See ya.

Update on Pete

CAUTION THESE ARE VERY GRAPHIC PICTURES!

They finally got a look at him...

He is in a very bad condition.

It's hard to tell but his condition is supposedly getting better. But it's very hard to tell with these pictures.

here are some of the crash scene.

Looks like they had to cut the roof off to get to him.

This is the helicopter that had to take him to the hospital.

These are from Facebook, and were not taken by me.

Please be in prayer. God listens to his people, and Peter could use all the prayers he can get.
Let the lord's will be done...

Prayers needed.

I have some terrible news. This moring my good friend Peter Helms (our pastor's son)was on his way to help a lady from our church, and he was T-boned at an intersection and had to be careflited to the ICU. He has internal bleeding in his brain, he's on a ventilator to help him breathe because he has weak breathing. And he is unconscious at the moment.
The worst part is because he JUST finished his eagle scout project, his birthday is comming up, and he was getting prepared to go to college.
I'm quite depressed about this. Please be in prayer, and I hope God can use this for HIS glory.
Just a short update.

Rainy day for a drive.

Hello fellow bloggers and non-bloggers. It was a very rainy day it's raining as I type this, but anywho.

We went to the Texas DPS this morning and took my permit test. There were some weird people in line but I won't get into that. Well... I PASSED!

I was totally psyched! I went to my grandmothers to take care of the horse with my mom, and she usually let's me drive in the pasture to feed the horse.
I like it because I can floor it down the stretch (even though I haven't, yet..)

So after anxiously waiting ALL day. My dad got home and we got in his car and went to the school parking lot behind our house. Once we got there we switched off and I started driving around. He said I was pretty good for a begginer, I didn't hit anything (or anyone) thankfully. I did floor it to 40 a couple times (blazing fast right?)
but then it started to rain. It was probablly one of the worse case scenarios to be driving in for the first time. It was at night and raining. I did pretty okay and had to slow down in the rain, but it was a great experience.

Hope those of you who aren't driving aren't mad, the permit test was easier than I thought, so don't worry.
See ya

Eagle Scout Project part 2, dog news, and Driver's Ed.

Yesterday (I seem to always post the day after) we pretty much finished my friend Peter's eagle scout project. We put up the fence and put on the gates.
I'll help make some more "adjustments" Wednesday. We totally got rained on with freezing cold ice bullets everyone was soked, but we got it finished.
Afterward's Pete took us out to supper at Nicky D's. Great place, they have really good burgers there. It was a good project and it really improved our church.

Yes I FINALLY started Drivers Ed last Wednesday. I finished my level 1 test and might get my permit early sometime Monday I hope.

So Dog news... My most favorite dog in the world is in our house now! We have Bo walking (and laying) around our house. Tt's mainly because he started to get some "Hot spots" on him. He seems to enjoy being indoors, and isn't killing our cats... so far.

So there's my update, later.

"Mr. Helms went to get the mulch"

Well my friend Peter had his eagle scout project yesterday, and I went at about 8:45 in the morning to help.
They had some donuts for us, then we waited for more guys to show up, then the work began.

We split into 2 teams and worked on the fence posts for a chain link fence, and dug trenches for timbers to put a square "play area" around the playground.
At lunch Mrs. Helms and another mom made hot dogs and such for lunch.
Afterwards Andy and Mr. Helms had to go buy a drill with more power to make holes in the wood for the rebar.

Caleb Simmons was the photographer, and got some cool pictures I'm sure.
You can probablly find them on Facebook if that's your thing...
Caleb and Andy had the idea of making T-Shirts saying "Mr. Helms is getting the mulch, Peter's Eagle Scout Project 2010" That's the joke on my title, it's because everyone kept asking were Mr. Helms was.
It was a very hot, tiring, and I got sunburnt. But I was glad to help.

So that's how that day was spent, thanks for reading.

Your in a band?! What?!

Yes I'm in a band, It's made up of me and my friend's David and Joel. I wanted to be in a band so I called Dave and asked if he would want too be in it (he said sure), Then a while later I called up Joel and asked him to be the leader (sine he's the best out of us all). So anyway, we've been a band for awhile but we didn't have a name. Till now. So far we're going with "The Sound of an Escape", and we've been working on the first album, and the art for it. this is the song...
This video is just me and Joel. David's working on something for the drums.

So there it is soo far, we might change it later, but tell me what you think. Thank you blogger community and friends for reading.

Rest is over

I've had some time to rest from being back from my trip which sounds really oxymoron, but It's true.
Well I'm doing some reports I need to finish for school, this comming friday I should get my DPS stuff so I can take the test for my permit. I've been ready for this for ever but it might finally happen.
My Dad is getting me psyched for being a "Ham". I'll be practicing for that sometime this week I think. And my dad has a radio I might use 'cause he's getting a new one.
So that's what's up with me.
I'm hopefully going to get up that song tonight or tomorrow, for those of you who care.
See ya.

Movies!

Okay something I left out. We went to the moveis TWICE while we were there.
First time we saw Robin Hood.

Awsome movie I thought it was pretty accurate and had awsome action scenes and a great storyline.

The second movie was The A-Team.

The most action packed movie I've ever seen in theaters.
Crazy action, it was wicked awsome!! It was accurate with the original tv show except with some more modern twists. I didn't like the cussing in it, or the fight scene cameras, they moved too much so it was hard too see what was going on.
But all in all a sweet movie!

So an extra on what I did, see ya.

-Robbie

"Home Sweet Home"

Well it's certianly great to be back after the 2 week trip alot has happened in 2 weeks.
I got back yesterday and I'll tell you about my trip(and try not to bore y'all to death).
Okay so I had to go to my friends house Friday, and we left for Arkansas.
I told y'all it was Missouri but it was Oklahoma and Devil's Den Arkansas.

BUT anywho, we got there and had to unload it was'nt the best experience.
It was my first time to ever camp in a camper. I enjoyed the coolness at night, and soft bed vs. hard ground.
Well one day we walked up this long steep hill with our bikes. When we got to the top we saw the lookout point

We constantly rode bikes and swam ($4.00 + tax) who taxes to swim, anyway one of the days we went to the dam.

While crossing it we saw some people racing in canoes.

Well the caves where closed becasue of bat disease it was supposedly deadly, but we got to go into the entrance of the "Ice Box".

Nothing ACTUALLY kept us from going but I didn't feel like dying that day.
One of the days we went to little swiss town I think it was called in Eureka Springs.
It was awsome!! I wanted to go back I didn't have anything for pictures at the time but I want to go back some day.
While we were there we saw "The New Great Passion Play" It was cool we met one of the actors and was from Glen Rose Texas!
The day before the last day (I think) we went to Winslow a small town where my friends Grandad grew up.

This was a lookout when we were there.
Oh and one day we made a sky tent.

We were bored.

It was really fun but I'm glad to be home.
Thanks for reading

A new adventure

Hello blogger community and readers.
Today is the day I'm leaving for a 2 week vacation camping trip with a good friend of mine.
It's going through many states and I don't travel outside Texas much, so it should be interesting.
Pray for saftey.
I'll be going with his Grandmother and little cousins. I'll tell Y'all about it when I get back.
I'm still working on that video. It's stuck in my parents camera right now.
But I'll hope to have it on here by the time i get back around July 3rd.
See ya.

Ranch Trip!

Hi, y'all.
Hope you didn't miss me too much.
I just got home yesterday from a ranch of our family friends.
We've known them forever, no joke and we went to hang out for a week.

Fisrt morning we got up packed and went to our local pawn shop and bought this:

A Red Fender Squire Strat. Except mine doesn't have the crazy whammy bar.
and got a crate amp. all for just $142 bucks, which is an awsome deal!
I'm quite happy with it.
So when we finished the 3 hour drive, we FINALLY got to "The Ranch". we unpacked and me and my 2nd Joel "brother" played it it sounded awsome! Especially when my "Guitar Guru" plays it.
So anyway we had an awsome week we shot some turtles and grasshoppers (bb gun), played apples to apples and last say. we watched some sattellite tv (which we don't have) and watched cash cab and mythbusters. We made a song which I might try to post later. We made a scare crow which everyone wanted to name Dr. Phil or Dr. crane but we never decided on a name.
We helped put up some wood posts in their garden to keep their dog "Butch" in, and made some barriers to keep him away from the plants.
Thursday we woke up early (about 7 or 8) and went to a blueberry farm.
They had tons of blueberrys! We picked, and ate great numbers of them.
I had never done it before so it was a whole new experience for me.
The couple who lived there were very nice and the man who worked there told us some war storys about World war II.
Here is a picture of some berrys.

The last day we went on a drive in the woods and to their lake. We didn't do any fishing but we got to see all of God's great creation.

We saw: 2 armadillos, 2 doe, and a racoon. we didn't shoot any, but Joel really wanted to

It was really fun hope you don't hate me for going on and on.

Memorial Day

Happy memorial day!
I had a good time today. We went to my great grandma's house today.
We took our fishing poles and bb guns. I shot a buch of cacti and 2 birds!
Everyone said I was a bird killer, but it was only 2. My brother also shot a couple bugs.
Then the whole family went to pick apricots off of my great grandma's tree.
We ate them right off the tree!
Then I went fishing for a little while but had no luck.
It was a great day, hope yours was awsome too.

A Helping Hand, RYFO

Getting involved, it's what I was told to do when I signed up.

Are you a RYFO heart? from Ryfo Network on Vimeo.

This is a pretty cool "program" you could say. It helps band members get food, supplies, or just a place to stay at night for free.
Basiciclly when you go to a show you can bring a care package, which has things they need. Equipment usually, but you can send whatever you want to help. They have things in particular they ask, but anything will do.

I signed up, and hope I can help.
I don't go to much shows (yet), but I might be able to help other ways.

I encourage anyone to join if you can. It's a great cause.

Out with the barrowed in with the used.

Well I've been barrowing a Yamaha guitar from someone from church. It's what got me my "start" into playing the guitar, I thank him for letting me use it for so long.

Now onto the new.
Today I bought a new Burswood guitar at the local pawn shop, (that's why it's used).
But it seems pretty cool.

I'll have to get used to it but that shouldn't be too long I hope.
I'm getting a new electric and amp from my friend Joel's friend for about a $100.
Can't wait till I have that one too.

Car show

Yesterday morning me, my dad, and my little brother went to an awsome car show at the church behind our house. It was so rad! there were all kind's of cars and trucks to make the "car enthusiast" go nuts!

We had losts of fun and I got some photo's of ALL the cars, but I'll just show you some of my favorite.

Classic ford muscle.

One of the trucks.

Love the classic wooden truck beds.

This car had some wicked pinstripes.

This car wasn't even old, but probablly one of the craziest one's there!

It even had a Playstation 2!

I saved probablly my favorite for last.

This car had a loud engine, neon flashing lights in the engine bay, and a gorilla in the back seat, how awsome is that!!

All in all it was a great morning.

A step into the blogger world.

This is my first post, and I'm excited to be here.
I've known many bloggers, read, and checked others constantly. It seemed fun, so I thought I'd give it a go. I've always wanted to make one, but thought I was too busy till now.

I hope you get SOMETHING out of my blog, and I hope it won't bore you to death.

Thank you for reading, and will be having many more posts in the future.
